Apostle Paul teaches us of the mystery which has been hidden from previous generations, but now is revealed to His saints!  It seems to be two fold; "Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation (stewardship) of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God; Even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you the hope of glory:"(Col.1:25-27). A careful study of Scripture shows us it has always been the Heart of God to bring in "all nations"! Gentiles are now included in purifying the heart and receiving the second part, the infilling of the Holy Ghost, which is Christ in you the hope of glory!

This is a huge "turning point" recorded in the book of Acts. The overseer of the Jerusalem Church was James the half brother of Jesus. This is unique considering the Apostle John recorded; "For neither did his brethren (half-brethren) believe in him"(St. Jn. 7:5). Evidently Jesus saw something special in James, for after His resurrection , He made a private visit to James and imparted some of Himself including wisdom! We're told "After that he was seen of James ..." (ICor.15:7). Then later on the rest of the Apostles. James' life was significantly changed, history says his nickname was "ole camel knees" from much much praying!  He was also called James the Just and James the Righteous.

As the wise overseer of the Jerusalem Church, he told the Gentiles circumcision and keeping the Law of Moses, had nothing to do with the Gospel of Jesus! In making his final judgement, James quotes the prophecy of Amos. "After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up. That the residue of men (all nations) might seek after the Lord,..."(Acts 15:16-17)  Let me first explain how it fell. Samuel had prophesied a great Dynasty for David, including Throne Rulership! By the days of Amos, the Dynasty had degenerated into a corrupt state due to the wicked Kings who followed David without regard to God's righteousness. Then came Jesus the rightful heir, the Son of David, He restored integrity to the House of David! He sets up and restores the Household of David by bringing to us the Nature of Righteousness!

There is still another side to this restoration; We know the story, David sought for and brought back the Ark of the Covenant, bypassing the mountain where the sacrificing and rituals of Moses' Law was taking place. What he used to house the Ark was not fancy but it was wide open, this is amazing there was no veil! Everyone was welcome including women and children. You see here a wonderful transformation from religious worship to spiritual worship, never happened before! The many Psalms he had written would now be sung along with other singing. Scripture says singing, praising and trumpets were going on continually! "God said this is my resting place forever, here I will dwell for I have desired it". Prayer, Praise, Worship and even Prophesying!  THAT'S RESTORATION!
