"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six".(Rev. 13:18)  Volumes have been written on this subject and that's alright for God's Word is truly unsearchable! Man was created on the sixth day, so six is the number for man, however in the previous verse man shares the number six with the beast! The nature of the beast will always be six, six, six!  He has intruded into the outer court, the holy place, and the Holy of Holies! It is man-made worship usurping the true worship of the Spirit and the shame comes because you must be invited into God's Holy Places not a trespasser. True Praise honors the price Jesus paid for us and the prize of Life He has become to His Sons and Daughters! The Beast-Man honors only himself.

Recently the Lord took me to the miracle of the loaves and fishes. It's interesting to note this particular miracle is mentioned in all four gospels. Not too many miracles gain that much recognition, so I'm suggesting to you this one must be special! The Spirit showed me that the number of leftover baskets is a unique type of a "double portion". Twelve baskets, one for each of the disciples, showing this is an individual affair. We should all know by now this is a Personal Salvation! Six is man's number but twelve is God's number! Twelve is the number of Divine Government, A thankless beast nature transforms into a thankful nature when we become a part of that Holy City with "twelve foundations"!

In looking at the number twelve as symbolic of "divine government" we will start with Solomon's Temple. This wise man ordained twelve district governors to assist him, one for every month (twelve months). Also leading up the steps to the Throne in the Temple, there were "twelve lions". Lions speak of Kingship they truly are king of the jungle. "Where the word of a king is, there is power..."(Ecc.8:4)  There were twelve tribes of Israel and twelve disciples. In the Heavenly Jerusalem we see "twelve gates" and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. (see Rev.21:12)  "And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the name of the twelve apostles of the Lamb".( Rev.21:14)  DIVINE GOVERNMENT EVERYWHERE !!

Most of the words of Jesus are synonymous with actual divine government. He said the Law of Moses could totally be summed up in two commandments: Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul and mind and love thy neighbor as thyself. On it goes; "Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it";(Eph. 5:25) Pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you. Love your enemies and bless those who curse you. No longer an eye for an eye, but Jesus says: "resist not evil". Under the government of God: it's not just thou shalt not kill, but whosoever is angry at his brother without a cause is in danger of judgement! The "beast nature" walks on four legs, the man of God walks upright on two legs, head held high honoring the Royal Law of Love! (James 2:8) !
