One way God has ordained for us to come into His presence is with singing, "Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing"(Psms100:2)  True worship from the "inner man" will also bring us into His presence, and of course burying oneself in the Word of God will do the same. As we will see God is particular with worship devoted to Him. The truth is; If it's not filled with passion similar to the passion of Christ, it's simply more religion!

The nature of the passion of Christ is understood as we see His strict devotion to pleasing His Father. Many times He lets us know He only does what pleases His Father! Effective worship involves the heart of His children yearning for their Father, truly a "cry from the heart" for relationship! "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him" (St.Jn.4:23)  Two things to notice, emphasis on spirit and truth, plus realizing our heavenly Father is seeking something!

It is stated Jesus came to seek the lost sheep of Israel, and just as important our heavenly Father is seeking worshipers in SPIRIT and TRUTH. Apostle Paul was very clear in his teaching on worshiping and singing unto God and each other. I'm sure he would have condemned this ungodly style of music that now exist in so called churches! Here's what the scripture says: "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;"(Eph. 5:18-19). The key word here demands it must be by Spirit!   BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT!

Notice our next key word: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord"( Col.3:16). Paul gives us two very similar verses, here's the revelation, the first verse places emphasis on the importance of Spirit, while the second places emphasis on the importance of a rich Word dwelling within! Our total prayer, praise and worship is only religious activity if does not flow from our bellies with a combination of Word and Spirit placing us in Truth! Modern entertainment of a "harlot system" will perish with the using!

God always has two witnesses; the word of God cannot be correctly opened without being breathed on by the Spirit! Neither can singing and praising God be acceptable without being saturated by Spirit and Truth!  Be careful your worship is not "vain worship". "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoreth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me..." (Matt.15:8-9)  Worship without passion is only religion!
