"...I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfill all my will. Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a savior, Jesus:"(Acts 13: 22-23)  The results of David's passionate heart towards God, has benefited everyone, and to those who have sealed their relationship with Jesus by receiving the real Holy Ghost, have privileged access to the Key of David and the Keys to the Kingdom ! What a winning combination that influences and enlightens all that would follow on to know the Lord in intimacy !  "Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David."(Isa. 55:3)  The power of David's heart towards God always moved God to favor him. If this can become a "living word" to you and I we can have the same favor and the same Keys by constantly chasing the things of the Spirit.

This everlasting covenant produced these profound words of Jesus: "And this is the will of him that sent me that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life and I will raise him up at the last day". (St. Jn. 6:40)   Remember the Scripture says "I have found David and he shall fulfill all my will", the above verse then tells us what the will of God really is  , that we may have everlasting life ! Many times, especially in the gospel of Matt., Jesus is referred to as "the son of David". The point is; the everlasting covenant proclaims the "sure mercies of David", it is not coincidental that the sick and afflicted which called Jesus the "son of David" also asked for mercy. This triggered compassion in the heart of Jesus who also had a heart to please His Father.Going deeper, the sure mercies of David belong to you and me and the will of God is totally fulfilled when Jesus "rose from the dead" bankrupting HELL and giving everlasting life to those belonging to this everlasting covenant !  PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME !

Here's the revelation; the "sure mercies of David" were fulfilled at the resurrection of Jesus ! "Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou hast made known the ways of life;..."(Acts 2:27-28)  An extended translation says it this way: "Because you won't abandon me to the grave". To you and I this is made real by partaking of the "everlasting covenant" the promise that Jesus made to us comes alive in receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost! This gives us entitlement to everything "the sure mercies of David", "the Key of David", "Keys to the Kingdom", "the Throne of David", even "the Tabernacle of David". Could it be David's ability to worship God from his innermost being, was the secret to his success?

"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the Key of David, he that openeth and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;" (Rev. 3:7) Coming from the one who is holy and true, Jesus now lets us know He has assumed possession of the "Key of David". In the O.T. God had given David authority, anointing and ability to open and shut important doors. In the N.T. this can also belong to us by obedience to the Spirit. "But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:..."(Acts 1:8) This is talking about miracle working power! Another verse says: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,..."(St. Jn.1:12) This word for power is "exousis" in Strong's and means authority and jurisdiction. The "Key of David" and the authority, anointing and ability is still real to us today by the resurrection of Jesus and His precious gift of the Holy Ghost!

"And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth".(St.Jn.1:14)  This glorious Jesus, beautifully described as WORD MADE FLESH made his first grand appearance as fulfillment of all the prophets words.  With His death on the cross He fulfilled His Father's Word. Since the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, the Word is still being made flesh by dwelling in the Sons of God ! "We know that the whole creation (of irrational creatures) has been moaning together in the pains of labor until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves too, who have and enjoy the first fruits of the (Holy) Spirit--a foretaste of the blissful things to come--groan inwardly as we wait for the redemption of our bodies (from sensuality and the grave, which will reveal) our adoption (our manifestation as God's sons). (Rom.8:22-23) Amplified
