"However I tell you truly, there are some of those standing here who will not taste of death before they see the kingdom of God. Now about eight days after these teachings, Jesus took with Him Peter and John and James, and went up on the mountain to pray. And as He was praying, the appearance of His countenance became altered (different), and His raiment became dazzling white-flashing with the brilliance of lightning. And behold two men were conversing with Him, Moses and Elijah, Who appeared in splendor and majesty and brightness and were speaking of His exit (from life), which He was about to bring to realization at Jerusalem. Now Peter and those with him were weighed down with sleep, But when they fully awoke they saw His glory (splendor and majesty and brightness) and the two men who stood with Him. And it occurred as the men were parting from Him, that peter said to Jesus, Master, it is delightful and good that we are here; and let us construct three booths or huts, one for You and one for Moses and one for Elijah! not noticing or knowing what he was saying. But even as he was saying this, a cloud came and began to overshadow them; and they were seized with alarm and struck with fear as they entered into the cloud. Then there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is My Son, My Chosen One-- My Beloved; listen to and yield to and obey Him! And when the voice had died away, Jesus was found there alone. And they kept still and told no one at that time any of these things that they had seen." ( Luke 9:27-36 Amplified Bible)

What a glorious passage of scripture, though we could never exhaust all this revelation, hope you can begin to see the establishing of the "Kingdom of God"!  Those who will not taste of death until they see God's Kingdom are Peter John and James. This particular visit on this exclusive mountain, will change their lives forever. The complete picture of what  is going on here is not seen all at once but will take many hours of thought and meditation to totally understand. It is time for the Remnant to understand there is a difference between "transformation" and "transfiguration". This "mountain of transfiguration" is dealing with "figures" specifically Moses and Elijah changing from Spiritual back to Natural. Jesus is changing from Natural into Spiritual and then returning back to Natural. It is clear, Peter James and John were half-asleep. Everyone interested in seeing into the Spiritual must first wake up and shake off the dust !! AS JESUS PRAYED, there came an alteration, and a major clue is the fact that His raiment was way more than glowing. It had a white-hot fire (like lightning) which came from the inside out not the outside in. Now the entire surroundings are lit up with majesty and great brightness! This Splendor and Holiness shall now allow the arrival of the Glory Cloud of the Kingdom of God! This demonstration of "glorified bodies" is tremendously exciting !!

It is no coincidence that in the midst of this Glory the conversation began with Jesus' decease in Jerusalem. The Cross will always be a vital part of the Glory of the Kingdom! The laying down of our lives marks the beginning of our transformation. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...."(Rom. 12:2)  Peter was not ready for Transfiguration, though he was being transformed he was still carnal and suggested they build three natural tabernacles. He was totally unaware, but Jesus is about to introduce them to the cloud that is not like any cloud they have ever seen. The Glory Cloud overshadowed them and with fear and reverence they entered into it's midst. This cloud always houses the "voice of the Lord" which declared this is my beloved Son, HEAR HIM !  Now Jesus stands alone as (Moses the Law) and (Elijah the Prophets) are swallowed up into Jesus making the Kingdom of God Complete!  Moses a type of the "written word" , Elijah a type of the "spoken word" are now perfectly manifested through Jesus "the LIVING WORD"!  "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honor and glory when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (II Pet.1:16-17)

Peter calls this monumental event the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember these words as Jesus prayed: "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen" (Matt. 6:13)  The majesty revealed as Jesus is transfigured, and the announcement from the Father that Jesus is the Chosen Son of God, this is the KINGDOM ! The fulfilled revelation from "conversion" to "transformation" being completed by the Son of God being transfigured; this is the POWER !  "For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory and in his Father's, and of the holy angels ". (Luke 9:26) This 3-Fold recognition is : Jesus' Glory, Father's Glory, and the Glory of the Holy Angels, this is the GLORY !  Peter uses a brand new term called "the excellent glory"  We can now see a tremendous change as the Glory Cloud is completed. In the Old Testament the "glory cloud" was always referred to as a single cloud. The great "cloud" of witnesses was part of the singular cloud, but now after the resurrection of Jesus the cloud has mightily increased ! "Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven" (Matt. 26:64). Our hope is way more than "rapture" our hope is to be caught up into the "clouds of the glory of the Kingdom" and in a transfigured glorified body meet the Lord and ever be with Him and like Him !   Praise His Deity Forever !!
