Upon receiving the genuine Holy Ghost we are sealed by his BLOOD and kept by his SPIRIT.   He came unto his own they wanted neither the blood nor the Spirit. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (literally believe into his name) :(St. Jn.1: 11-12) Becoming true sons of God is a process which doesn't happen all at once, but requires receiving and receiving and receiving until we assimilate all He is into our own being. Let's look a little deeper and instead of the traditional "better to give than receive" we must now realize we cannot give what the world is really in need of unless we first receive what our Father is offering.

In the first covenant they were required by Moses to sprinkle blood on the door post to avoid the "death angel". In our covenant the door into the sheepfold hung on the cross and sprinkled his own blood that we might not taste death! He is not only the Way the Truth and the Life, but He is the "bloody Door" that gives us access to all He is.

There is a common denominator I have discovered among God's Remnant. One of the first things a hungry believer pursues is truth and especially "a love for the truth". There is an unquenchable thirst for Spirit and a heart to give drink to other thirsty believers. As for me, this love for the truth has been my guide through an ongoing and amazing journey.

"He that receiveth  you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple. verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward." (Matt. 10:40-42)  I see here three dimensions of growth activated by RECEIVING first then giving away that you received so you may receive again. This is a true principle of God !  Not all rewards are for the future, there are rewards in this life which transform earthly into heavenly. Jesus said "In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren ye have done it unto me." (Matt.25:40)  A disciple represents the correct starting place for true Sons. He's a student of Jesus and understands thirsting after the Lord begins by knowing Jesus totally identified himself with his body of believers, "the least of these little ones". He has a giving heart and loves to give not just a drink of water but rather "cold water" signifying something to quench the thirst and add refreshing ! This must come from a supernatural well down in the belly and represents never thirsting again.

The righteous man that must be received is Jesus himself. The Hebrew language infers; that it takes a righteous man to receive a righteous man. To grow into this relationship is a great honor and when combined with the relationship of a "hungry student" this is the key to eternal life. Always receiving then giving, and as (Rom.1:17) declares: "righteousness of God" is revealed to the faithful".  The word revealed must be emphasized. As a reward to the righteous and faithful revelation and spiritual understanding is given by the Lord !

This leads us to the "prophet's reward". We read in scripture that some prophets received a reward of martyrdom . I say this to remind us prophets were misunderstood and paid a huge price to be an oracle of God. A vital part of growing into maturity is the ability to receive a prophet in the name of a prophet. In going beyond the relationship of a righteous man, you too will be misunderstood and mistreated. Jesus designed it this way  for "Though He was a son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered." (Heb.5:8)  In closing, it is worth everything we go through for the end result of the "prophet's reward" is the ability to see and hear by the Spirit !!  One of the building blocks of our salvation is that of the Prophets, their word represents meat for the hungry , but must be interpreted by the Spirit. "The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them."(Prov.20:12)  The tragedy of today's "doctrines of devils" is mostly because disciples would not journey deep enough into the Spirit to see and hear Jesus our TRUE PROPHET!
