"Rightly divide" from the Strong's Concordance is the greek word "orthotomeo" and means "to dissect" or  "straight cut". The cross of Jesus is the dividing line between the old covenant and the new covenant. The major focus of growing Sons and Daughters of God, is to study and become familiar with the correct side of the cross to place various teachings. The old covenant was dominated by the Law of Moses with rules, regulations and rituals of men, which at best could only produce servants. Servants have no part in an inheritance. The true purpose of the new covenant, for which Jesus died, is to replace the rules and regulations of the Law with such a spiritual relationship that Sons are produced instead of servants. Motivated and inspired by the "royal law of Love". (James 2:8)

On the backside of the cross the Law of Moses stands tall as a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, a new and living way, that we might be justified by faith.(Gal.3:24)  However, the schoolmaster teaches "types and shadows" which must be spiritually interpreted by the leadership of the Holy Ghost, in order for the types and shadows to transform from the dead letter of the Law, into a life giving truth where shadows and confusion melt away by the life and wisdom of Christ our anointing. "Therefore let no one sit in judgement on you in matters of food and drink, or with regard to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath. Such (things) are only the shadow of things that are to come, and they have only a symbolic value. But the reality --the substance, the solid fact of what is foreshadowed, the body of it-- belongs to Christ".(Col.2:16-17)Amp.

Let's consider a powerful example of one particular type and shadow; the making of the "mercy seat". "And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat; One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof. And the cherubims spread out their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims."(Exo.37:7-9) This creation of the mercy seat is crafted from pure gold and no doubt very beautiful to behold. Nonetheless it's a slab of gold made into a seat with statues of golden angels above facing one another with wings spread as a covering as they join. It's very significant to note that when finished it was placed behind the veil in the holiest of all hidden from view. Types and shadows are distant and cold ! Present truth demands we personally experience our mercy seat transform from a golden work of art into a scene in a borrowed tomb where they laid the body of Jesus. "And he is the propitiation (MERCY SEAT) for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."(I John 2:2)

Here's the real deal, "But Mary stood without at the sepulcher weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulcher, And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain."(St.John 20:11-12)  At the resurrection site and insurance of eternal life, the golden cherubim which covered the golden mercy seat, are now real live angels in pure white in a similar position covering and watching until IT IS FINISHED !  Hallelujah! They both proclaim to her why weepest thou? What a glorious day when mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.(Psms85:10)

Here's more good news,"Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulcher. And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulcher, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself."(St.Jn. 20th chapter)  What a great celebration, first thing noticed are the grave clothes lying in a pile. So very different from Lazarus, who came forth bound up in his grave clothes. Jesus was loosed from the very stench of death !  Also chances were good if his body was stolen away the thieves would not have taken time to strip the body. So the excitement of resurrection is now a real possibility !

In closing, it must be said that special attention was given to the fact that the napkin about his head which also covered his face, was placed in a way by itself so that it was sure to be seen. Here's the revelation; on the backside of the cross, Moses face was covered by a veil and even to this day when the Law is read it is still covered by a veil. On the front side of the cross Jesus face is forever uncovered ! The Holy Ghost Anointing removes the veil allowing us to see Jesus ( not in a glass darkly) but face to face. A huge price was paid for the shadows to become reality.  Thank God for His Mercy !!
