"And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith." "And the Lord said.If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat  and drink?   Doth  he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not. So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.(Luke17:5-10)  As I meditated on Jesus' teaching on faith, I began to see my responsibility in receiving "Increased Faith" As always Jesus went straight for the heart. By using the example of the mustard seed (noted for its minute size) we see it doesn't take a lot of faith to accomplish a great work ,however, it does take an attitude of heart, a nature that has been changed from selfishness into the nature of God. Jesus asked the question: Which of you ever placed the needs of the servant above your own needs? And then in the next verse, Jesus reveals a true Kingdom Principle: after we've done our reasonable duty, we are still unprofitable until we go above and beyond that which is expected of us,  in truth our righteousness must exceed the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees, I believe God is preparing a remnant who is becoming profitable to the Lord as our faith gives way to God's faith!!

"Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.(IPet.1:9)  There is a faith that brings salvation and deliverance, pays our bills and heals our bodies, this accomplishes the end of your faith, and now the challenge for the remnant seed is to come up higher into an elevated level of faith which I will call a level of "Increased Faith". We know from Paul's teaching in Romans that this level comes from hearing the living word of God, ( Faith cometh by Hearing) ! "But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, say not in thine heart, who shall ascend into heaven? (that is to bring Christ down from above:) Or who shall descend into the deep? (that is to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? the word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is the word of faith, which we preach;"  This word of faith abides on the inside, and does not look up or down, left or right, but brings total assurance and such confidence in the anointing, that you know that Christ in you is the Hope of  Glory, and His Glory is that of a King on a throne with Resurrected, Eternal Life. What a hope we have!

In the book of 2nd. Timothy , chapter one, Paul describes the faith that is in Timothy as unfeigned faith:"When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee,..." The spirit of the Lord made me to know, God's remnant seed is striving for this same type of faith. The overcomer trusts not in man, but his reliance is totally in God. The definition of unfeigned is: something unshakable, unmovable and a faith that is genuine and sincere. Thank God in troubled times like these, I can reach inside myself, stir up the gift within and face each and every battle that comes my way by means of unfeigned faith that will not fail. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."(II Tim.1:7) In closing, allow me to comment on the order I feel  the Spirit showed me: I am convinced perfect love cast out fear (IJn. 4:18). The grandfather of all fear is our fear of death, and can only be overcome by divine Love." The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us." The fruit of the spirit is love, out of this fruit comes the power of God's spirit. Out of love, comes the power of the Holy Ghost. This love and power generates our sound mind, this is a mind that's not confused and a mind that is disciplined to the ways of the spirit. In short, we are powered by the mind of Christ.
