Here is a comparison worth looking into: "Then sat Solomon upon the throne of David his father..."( I Kings 2:12). Then we see this in (IChron.29:23) ; "Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father...".  The sacred  "throne of God" entrusted to the lineage of David, so it can interchangeably be called by either name! This becomes the subject of Peter's first sermon: "that of the fruit of the loins of David, God would raise up Christ to sit on the throne of David"! Here's the revelation: when we receive the real Holy Ghost we receive the legacy of Abraham, David and Jesus Christ!  Look at these "red letters" "...These things saith he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth , and no man shutteth; and shutteth and no man openeth;" The true Holy Ghost is the "key of David"  It empowers us to become OVERCOMERS, and look what comes next:"To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne"(Rev.3:21). Peter taught that Jesus' resurrection and ascension into Heaven was the time that Jesus assumed David's throne, and likewise the Throne of God! If you can accept it; the Holy Ghost gives us a portion of resurrection life on the inside, and the "authority of the Throne" by our faith!

Many times in Matthew's gospel Jesus is referred to as the "son of David" we can consider this as we read the Psalms, knowing David's words are powerful. "For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favor is life:..."(Psms 30:5) Extended translations clarify this; "his favor lasts a lifetime"! Through our connection to God's promises by the Holy Ghost we have the favor of our Father, how thankful is my heart in knowing personal times of God's unmerited favor (Grace)!  Here's another powerful comparison; the angel Gabriel announces to the virgin Mary "thou art highly favored! Highly favored is #5487 in Strong's Concordance. I was blessed when I saw this; #5487 is used only one more time in the NT. It is used by Apostle Paul in (Eph. 1:5-6) "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved". Accepted in the beloved, and "highly favored" are practically the same in the Greek! The Apostle blesses those "in-Christ" with the same blessing the angel Gabriel pronounced on Mary!  WOW!!

"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,"(Eph.1:13). The sealing of the Holy Ghost signifies God's ownership, it also preserves me from all harm and finally it makes me privy to the secrets of the heart of God! Thank you Lord that we can know things the "religious world" has no idea! The Holy Spirit of promise goes back to the beginning when "the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the deep". To the called, chosen and faithful the promises of Spirit can be seen throughout the OT; in a rock, in a rainbow, in a cloud, in a stream, in a fire, in a wind, in a breath, in the rain and on it goes when deep calls unto deep! Here's the icing on the cake; "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,(ICor.6:19) We're not the "outer court" nor are we "the holy place" we are the HOLY OF HOLIES we are God's Secret Place! Through "supplication" we can go inside ourselves ( this is the depths of prayer) and be intimate with Jesus. This gives us boldness when it's real: "And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people"(IICor.6:16)
